What do you get when you put quilters in a room full of fabric?

            you get....

                                    Quilts!!!
                                                                                    lots of them.....

                                      and pillowcases too...

The "Community Quilters" work all year and then donate to organizations like; East End Providers, CSI Refugee Center, Women's Crisis Center, Valley House and CASA.

It truly takes many hands to make so many quilts.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this
giving opportunity possible.

What I make with my hands, I give with my heart.

The Community Quilts are members of a mini-group of quilters who meet in the classroom located in the back of Hancock Fabrics on the first Wednesday and the third Monday of each month @ 10:00 am to 4:00 pm (except in December)

On the first Wednesday of each month we meet to tie quilts that have been created by our members and friends. The quilts can be made at home or by those who sew at Hancock Fabrics.
On the third Monday of each month, we meet to create the quilt tops. Creativity is the key word here. We may begin with blocks donated to us or with a group of beautiful fabrics donated to us by our generous benefactors. The tops are created by some of us, but may be sewn by others. It is truly a community effort. What fun it is to see what develops as we use what we have to make beautiful quilts for our friends in need. Though our fabric is donated, other items must be purchased such as;  thread, needles, batting, pins, tacks, staplers, etc. Desert Sage Quilt Guild provides us with funds each year to help with these costs. Hancock Fabrics generously donates the classroom space and storage in the back of their store.

Who do we Serve?   The people who receive our quilts are located in the Magic Valley area. Many of our creations are given to East End Providers, CSI Refugee Center, Women's Crisis Center, Valley House and CASA and others.

We welcome anyone who is interested in sewing with us. Please contact Sue Pack, Phyllis Bybee or Susan Stallings with any questions. You can send an email to desertsagequilters@gmail.com
